After being completely frustrated with one set of headphones after another, I finally spent what was, to me, a goodly amount for a good gaming set. Of course, the dual connectors didn't play well the with various phones I have, so I was expecting to have to shell out even more for another set.
Now, instead of spending way too much, I spent under $15 and get to multi-use the headphones I like on 'puters and phones. A good deal all around.

Product description clearly shows picture and description of two female inputs from phone to a 3.5mm male (i.e., PC headset to phone). They sent me the exact opposite, which is worthless. Description also says contains 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable which was not included. Wish I could could have a negative-number-of-stars rating for wasting my time.

The description on this page says that you will be receiving two adapters. one with two female to single male, and another to go from 2.5mm to 3.5mm. I received only ONE adapter, and that was two males going into one female. This is the exact opposite of what i wanted. the males/females very exactly the opposite of what is displayed in the picture for this item.
Thank you amazon for wasting my time and money. The description on the page is very inaccurate.

Wanted to be able to use my PC headset with a desk phone (2.5 mm) and a small headset (2.5 mm) with my Blackberry (3.5 mm) while traveling. Both adapters work fine. Had seen earlier reviews of similar products that mentioned need to be sure fully inserted to get the click. Definitely true, particularly with the Blackberry. If the headset symbol has not shown on the screen, the connection is not yet made. Once in properly, no problems

This "Headset Buddy" combo pack works exactly as needed. I've confirmed that stereo music plays on the headphones, and I used the Skype "echo" service to confirm that the microphone (and headphones) work as well.
My need for this adapter kit stems from the fact that I use a stereo headset (stereo headphones & microphone) with Skype for phone calls. My previous laptop had two 3.5mm headphone jacks and a single 3.5mm microphone jack (3.5mm is the most common size of connector for headphones---laptop, mp3 player, etc). However, my new laptop has a single 3.5mm headset jack that's supposed to do it all. Strangely enough, I couldn't find a new headset with that type of connector; they're all either the 2-plug type, have a single/mono headphone, or are USB.
With this product, I can now use my existing headset with my new laptop, but I have to use both cables that come in the package. I plug both of my headset's 3.5mm plugs into the green (headphone) and pink (microphone) connectors. Since the other end of that cable is a 2.5mm plug, I then use the other cable to switch back to having a 3.5mm plug. That plugs into my laptop, and my stereo headset works as expected.
